Alternatives to “I'm available anytime” at work
Why it can fall flat
“I'm available anytime”
It leaves out any actual time, so the other person has to guess, and it can sound like you have no limits. Usually you mean you're flexible and happy to fit around them.
Say this instead
- 01
I'm flexible this week, so pick whatever time suits you best and I'll be there.
Boss · Chat
Fits a manager well because it shows flexibility and lets them choose without implying you're on call at all hours.
- 02
My calendar is open tomorrow afternoon. Send me a time and I'll join.
Coworker · Chat
Suits a quick meeting with a peer because the concrete window lets it get booked in a single reply.
- 03
I'm flexible on timing this week. Could you send two or three slots that suit you? I'll confirm one straight away.
Client · Email
Good for clients since they keep control of the schedule and you set a clear next step by confirming right away.
- 04
I'm free most weekday mornings and can adjust around your schedule. Let me know what works best for you.
Recruiter / HR · Email
Helps with a recruiter because it sounds keen and cooperative while still offering a realistic place to start.
- 05
Hi Ritu, I can call any time between 10 and 4 tomorrow. Which time suits you?
Customer · SMS
Right for a customer text because a defined window feels reliable and the closing question invites a fast answer.
- 06
I'm around for questions until 5 today. Message me whenever you need a hand.
Someone you manage · Chat
Useful for a team member because they know exactly when you can help and when to reach out.
- 07
Free all afternoon, so ping me when you're ready and I'll hop on a call.
Coworker · SMS
Handy for a colleague who needs a quick call and hasn't picked a time, since it's short and friendly.
Examples
Hi Dana, Thanks for sending over the draft. I'm flexible on timing this week, so please pick whichever slot suits you for a walkthrough. Wednesday or Thursday afternoon would be easiest for me, but I can adjust if needed. Best regards, Emerson
Thanks, Mia! I'm free after 2 today and all morning tomorrow. Tell me what suits you and I'll send an invite.
What to avoid
- Skip “anytime” or “24/7” unless you truly mean it, because people may hold you to it.
- Leaving the other person to guess is the real problem, so offer a window or ask them to pick a time.
- Adding “whenever, it doesn't matter” can sound like you don't value your own time.
- Promising a fast response you can't keep, such as “I'll drop everything”, sets you up to disappoint.
