A kinder way to say “you are valued”
Why it can fall flat
“you are valued”
Thanks sounds hollow when it reads like a template. “You are valued” is vague, so the person can't tell what was actually noticed, even though the writer typically means their effort was seen and mattered.

Thanks, Jody, for jumping on the client call at short notice. It really helped, and I appreciate you.
What to avoid
- Sending the line alone with no reason falls flat, so say what the person did and what it changed.
- Pasting the same message to everyone is easy to spot, and people notice.
- Slipping a new request into the same message makes the thanks feel like a setup.
- Exaggerating with lines like “you're the best ever” backfires, since plain and specific is more believable.
- Hinting at a raise, promotion or reward you can't promise sets up disappointment.
